DIY Wind Turbine Project
Building Your Own Wind Turbine… Can it be done? A man from Oconto, Wisconsin says it is possible, and he reveals all the details. He shows how he has done it using basic simple tools in his garage.
In case you want to buy the parts that he mentions, you need to go to Wind Blue Power. Other excellent projects that some of their customers have engineered are posted on the site.
Layne now has his own website — AutoLayne’s Wind Generator. He has put together a 49 page manual to further illustrate how he does it.
Layne Erickson claims that the wind turbine generates enough electricity to power up his shop. He does a very nice job presenting this project. Very good work. Is free energy the wave of the future?

2Thanks for the information! I wasn’t aware that these videos had been discontinued. I also think they were great. I did manage to find some other videos, although they do not seem to be as good as the originals.

3What Jeff was saying was that the videos are still there but that others have released copies of the videos with company logos overlayed so as to divert traffic from http://www.autolayne.com (I think this is Eric’s site). EnergyForEarth.net has a copy of Layne’s video with their logo at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmFv0WIho_w while HomeMadePowerPlant.com has their doctored copy at http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1782153/how_to_build_a_home_made_wind_generator/
